๐ก๏ธ Ekmilan has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This platform is strictly 18+ and any violation results in immediate, permanent account termination and law enforcement referral.
Our Commitment
Ekmilan ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Ekmilan Systems Pvt. Ltd., is a dating and social application intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and above. We maintain an absolute and unconditional prohibition on Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), grooming, solicitation of minors, and any content or behaviour that endangers the safety or wellbeing of children.
These standards apply to all users, all content, and all interactions on the Ekmilan platform, without exception.
Prohibited Content and Behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited on Ekmilan and will result in immediate permanent account termination and, where legally required, referral to law enforcement:
- CSAM โ Any content that sexually depicts, exploits, or abuses a minor, including images, video, text, or links to such material
- Grooming โ Communicating with or attempting to lure, manipulate, or groom a person under the age of 18 for sexual purposes
- Solicitation โ Requesting or sharing sexual content involving minors, or attempting to arrange in-person meetings with minors for sexual purposes
- Age misrepresentation โ Falsifying age to bypass the 18+ registration requirement
- Any other CSAE โ Any content, communication, or conduct that constitutes child sexual abuse or exploitation under Indian law or international standards
Age Verification and Enforcement
Ekmilan enforces its 18+ requirement through the following technical and operational controls:
- Date of birth validation โ Users must provide their date of birth at registration. Our system โ both in the app and on our servers โ rejects registration for anyone under 18. This check cannot be bypassed by the frontend alone.
- Profile photo moderation โ All profile photos are automatically analysed using Google Cloud Vision API for adult and unsafe content. Photos that fail this check are rejected before being displayed to any user.
- Live face verification โ Users can optionally complete a real-time video liveness challenge powered by AWS Rekognition, which confirms the user is a real, live adult and is not impersonating another person.
- Text content moderation โ Profile bio and name fields are screened using an automated moderation pipeline (local keyword filter + OpenAI GPT-4o-mini) before being saved. Content that violates our standards is rejected.
- Duplicate account prevention โ Face embeddings from verified users are indexed to prevent the same individual from creating multiple accounts after a ban.
In-App Reporting Mechanism
Every user profile on Ekmilan has a dedicated Report button accessible from the profile card and within conversations. Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team.
When a report is filed:
- The reported user is automatically blocked from contacting the reporter
- Our moderation team reviews the report as a priority
- Accounts that receive 5 or more independent reports are automatically suspended pending review
- Confirmed violations result in permanent account termination

CSAM Handling and Removal
Ekmilan has a zero-tolerance, zero-delay policy for CSAM:
- Immediate removal โ Any content identified as CSAM is removed from the platform immediately upon detection or report, before any further review
- Account termination โ The account responsible is permanently and irreversibly banned from Ekmilan with no right of appeal
- Law enforcement referral โ We report confirmed CSAM to relevant law enforcement authorities and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and India's Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) as required by law
- Evidence preservation โ We preserve relevant account data and content in accordance with legal hold requirements to support law enforcement investigations
Legal Compliance
Ekmilan complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 โ India's primary law protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation
- Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000 โ Including provisions against obscene content and online sexual exploitation
- IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 โ Including mandatory grievance redressal and content moderation obligations
- Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 โ For the protection of personal data of all users, including enhanced protections for sensitive data
